The mouth from the south, the one-man band from Van Diemen’s Land, or more formally known as NILLA, is an alternative Aussie hip-hop artist currently residing in the wine country of Newcastle, NSW. NILLA has a range of experiences playing in many bands covering many different genres that he has now encapsulated into a liquorice all sorts of style that is the driving force behind his creativity. From hip-hop to rock, from guitar solos to pop, NILLA’s unique sound has established him a strong organic following across social media prior to the release of any music. This is thanks to NILLA’s authentic live performances enhanced by live looping with a guitar and a drum pad. NILLA is set to have an explosive second half of 2023 with the release of his debut single ‘Come Home With Me’, followed by the release of two more singles before the end of the year. NILLA’s talent, passion, and hard work will see him become a known name in the Aussie Hip-Hop Scene soon enough.
