"I play energy, not notes!" Is Nathan's motto. He calls his music “sound medicine” because after his mother passed of cancer, at a very young age he’s wanted to heal people through his music.
Jazz, improvisation, hip-hop and funk have been a steady part of Nathan's musical expression. He’s dedicated his life to his craft, pulling from all his favorite genres to create something entirely new. His new sound can be described as trap jazz, or jazz beats (FREE TRAP became the decided term) which combines his larger than life energy through healing sounds and unique beats.
March 28th marks the beginning of a large release concept. FREE TRAP BOOTLEG LIVE VOL. 1 comes out 2025 summer, then in the fall of 2025 FREE TRAP the album drops. It’s all while movement. FREE TRAP combines free jazz and trap. Ornette Coleman meets lil baby.
