Noah has been improvising on the piano since childhood, even before taking his first lessons. Later, as he immersed himself in classical music and obtained his Master’s degree in piano at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, the desire for freedom remained strong. “My relationship with music conflicted with the conservative values and tacit codes of the institution. But I remain grateful for the training I received there: it taught me a great deal and allowed me to deepen my technical, musical, and harmonic knowledge.”
After a long journey with detours driven by a growing urge for change and renewal, the intimate connection with his piano only deepened. "The common thread of my life and my music is freedom. My piano is my anchor, my buddy. I feel like nothing and no one can break this intimate relationship I have with my instrument."
Noah has already performed live in renowned venues and festivals such as Flagey Piano Days, the Mainstage of Gent Jazz and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In addition to composing, Noah also shares his talent for improvisation with other artistic disciplines. For thirteen years, he has been one of the resident pianists at the Royal Film Archive CINEMATEK in Brussels, where he has improvised live for more than 600 silent films.
