NoFun is a Dance Punk project made up of Brooklyn based musicians Matt Carroll, Thommy Northcut, Marco Marino and Nick Comaratta. Though the project began as Carroll’s solo endeavor in 2023, the addition of Northcut, Marino and Comaratta gave a new life to the music; and together, the group is turning up the energy, and putting on an incredible show.
Drawing inspiration from artists like the Psychotic Monks, Wine Lips, Idles, and LCD Soundsystem, NoFun combines synthesizers, drum machines, and raw energy to blur the boundaries of seemingly incompatible genres into one incredibly unique sound and experience. From post punk to dream pop, to tech house and back, the common threads are Carroll’s songwriting - both brutish and emotionally exposed, and the explosive energy emanating from Northcut, Marino, and Comaratta.
In 2025, the band is on the rise in the New York scene; gearing up for the release of their first full length album, and playing some incredible shows with the best bands coming out of Brooklyn and beyond.
