Panchito Arredondo is a Mexican regional singer, accordionist, and songwriter from Sinaloa. Of humble origins, his first album Soy Amigo Soy Piloto appeared in 2013, but his career only took off at the close of the decade, after he decided to throw his lot in with the booming corridos bélicos subgenre -- with occasional detours into rancheras, románticas, and norteñas. Indeed, in a relatively short time Arredondo became one of the leading bélico exponents, accumulating millions of plays with singles such as "La Mb," "Las Pisteadas Del Vago," "El Llamado Del 19," and "300 Locos," all the while courting controversy with his glorified depictions of the narco world. Astonishingly prolific, Arredondo released six albums alone in 2020, as well as five in both 2019 and 2021. After becoming a DEL Records artist, one of the leading Mexican regional labels, Arredondo kept a slightly more relaxed pace, releasing merely 2-3 live or studio albums per year. Al Final De Cuentas, his 29th effort overall, appeared in September 2025. ~ Mariano Prunes, Rovi
