Philippe Paquet is a neoclassical music composer from Montreal who grew up in the suburbs Boucherville. His approach is geared toward decompartmentalisation of contemporary music and the expression of a personal vision. Joining a large and diverse public is central in his process.
A prolific artist for whom art is all about sharing, Philippe’s music is published on streaming platforms with over 1 800 000 streams. It was played by major radio broadcaster like Ici- Musique, Sirius XM, the 98,5FM Montreal, CKRL and on TV at TVRS.
While he started his journey as a jazz guitar player, creativity and the affirmation of his personality remained in focus. In 2017, Philippe takes the decision to make composition a full- time occupation. Motivated by the desire to touch people with his art and to make contemporary music more accessible, he is always searching for a unique and personal sound. He publishes his pieces independently since 2018 on which you can hear hugely talented interpret from Montreal like the Andara Quartet, Thomas Le Duc-Moreau (OSM), Vincent Bergeron (OM) and many more. He also works with pop artists to produce their albums with talents like Mathieu Samson.
