Formed by Allart Entertainment under the slogan "six fairies who lost their wings," PIXY is a six-piece girl group hailing from Seoul, South Korea. After releasing their first single, the rap-heavy “Wings,” the group made their full-length debut with mini-album Bravery (2021).
While many K-pop outfits recruit directly from reality shows and trainee programs, many of PIXY’s members arrived with industry experience: Ella (fka Mirae) was the former leader of <a href="spotify:artist:3IJCdgkBZbieocLZ4e94GZ">Cherry Bullet</a>, Dajeong had left the kids group SUPA in 2018, and Satbyeol arrived after departing from Girls’ Alert. Together with Lola, Dia, and Sua, the group formed PIXY in 2021, debuting in February that year with the trap-influenced single “Wings.” Their first mini-albums were short to follow: May’s Bravery offered a variety of electronically driven anthems, while a briefer second set, Temptation, arrived in October.
