Eric Kweku Buabeng Yankey, professionally known as <a href="spotify:artist:5REZEArOcBsnAhxxRfTu3r" data-name="Questo">Questo</a>, is a rapper and songwriter from Ghana. Rooted in rap, Questo’s music has mostly been influenced by Hiphop, R&B, Reggae, Highlife, Afrobeats and Jazz even though most of his early works around 2016 were mostly hardcore rap music.
In the 2017/2018 period, fans of Questo witnessed a switch in direction of his sound and almost an obsession with old Ghanaian culture. Crooning his raps and naming his first studio project after a famous old Ghanaian folklore character, <a href="spotify:album:24aJRN2gJzHf7cN34T07Np" data-name="Ananse">Ananse</a>, Questo really embraced his Ghanaian ancestry and has been on a mission infusing Highlife and Ghanaian culture into his sound.
His music journey had him working with some of Ghana’s prominent artists like <a href="spotify:artist:66biqyq71uND4uIC1gXDeI" data-name="Magnom">Magnom</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1Wtzdgd5YfWe0WWm9WN3l3" data-name="Gasmilla">Gasmilla</a> as of 2019 and has been on his own ride since then.
Working with frequent collaborators <a href="spotify:artist:6rsvaN73Iw2t9otnsdhT4Y" data-name="Zotto">Zotto</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2Wj6QDzfwiv0Px83nDFTRf" data-name="Kwame Yesu">Kwame Yesu</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3yqJ0i7h5llZuEgkcrgu7M" data-name="Marince Omario">Marince Omario</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2BrgnYd9IX1KW0qqyfV6uM" data-name="Ohene Parker">Ohene Parker</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1XRErztmwGC9jKhzkxLlJx" data-name="The Ganyo">The Ganyo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3n5yjt02sJrVGF3mPfEUh4" data-name="Moor Sound">Moor Sound</a> just to mention a few, he gradually brought to life two interactive performance events Anansesem'22 & Anansesem'23 where they celebrated their works with core fans and new fans alike.
As a rising artist, Questo’s objective is to develop the ultimate Ghanaian sound and authenticate himself among the crop of male artists of his generation with Ghanaian music on the rise.
