For Ras Teo, born Teo Hartoonian, in 1979 in Uppsala Sweden, the most reflectively transformative moment of his life occurred one day while living in Gottsunda when Teo was 12 years old, a simple gift from friend Affe Ashkar of a mixed cassette tape exposed Teo to reggae music. Works by Ijahman Levi, Fred Locks, Hugh Mundell, and others happened as the divine providence that ultimately led Ras Teo to begin his now impressively extensive collection of reggae music, and ever since set him upon his lifelong celestial roots trajectory channeling Jah’s heavenly vibrations by reverently singing his praises.
“Mystic Morning” became Ras Teo’s first full length album in 2009
Followed by “Show I The Way” in 2011.
Then “Bredda Daniel” released in 2015 including collaborations with artists Yami Bolo, and Iqulah Rastafari, also drummer Leroy Horsemouth Wallace, and percussionist Bongo Herman.
The follow up album “Timeless” released in 2017 with continued contributions from the same crew, also featured performances by Sizzla Kalonji, and veteran roots singer Pablo Gad.
Encore album “Ancient Hymns” released in 2017 as well.
2019 double album “Ten Thousand Lions” collaboration with ace producer Roberto Sanchez of Lone Ark Studios from Santander Spain released to critical acclaim, and rose to number one on Amazon Reggae Charts.
