Just as inspired by the works of Mozart, Bach, and Benjamin Britten as they are the likes of Radiohead, the Beatles, and Simon & Garfunkel, Revolver are a French outfit who describe their music as "pop de chambre." Forming the group in 2006, frontman Ambroise Willaume, guitarist Christophe Musset, and cellist Jérémie Arcache developed their acoustic sound while quietly trying to rehearse in a small Parisian apartment, and after releasing their debut EP in 2008, they followed it up with their mid-'60s Brit-pop-influenced full-length debut, Music for a While, a year later. After recruiting percussionist Maxime Garoute for their European tour, they received two nominations at the prestigious Les Victoires de la Musique and went on to venture into Americana territory for their critically acclaimed 2012 sophomore album, Let Go. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
