A flair on something classic: that’s what River Westin does best. His brand of melancholy indie-pop takes listeners on a nostalgia trip with every listen. After releasing his second independent LP “The Honeymoon Suite” in late 2022, River continues to bring his group of fans a flashback of vintage inspired dreampop with his latest singles.
As a part of the LGBTQ community, River’s nostalgic inspired songwriting offer’s a unique queer perspective to sounds of past eras. His recent single “St. Tropez” landed him on his first Spotify Editorial Playlist among a collection of indie tracks celebrating Pride Month in 2022.
River lives in Upstate New York and describes himself as a self-taught bedroom musician. With a background in art and graphic design, songwriting grew to be another natural outlet for unleashing creativity. This led to one of his early tracks “Golden Age” placing Top ten in the International Songwriting Competition’s Adult Contemporary and Love Song categories in 2018 as well as garnering him a Syracuse Area Music Award for Best Pop Album for his debut LP "Candy Cigarettes" in 2021.
