Royane

Royane was born in Morocco and got introduced to music from an early age with a multicultural mix as Moroccan, Arabic, African, French and Spanish genres. She has cherished both singing and dancing all her life but she started experimenting with writing at the age of 12.
Royane has the unique quality of a versatile musical style where it’s all about the vibe. For Royane the visual concept plays a huge role in how her songs are represented, specifically since everything comes visually to her from the beginning of any project. She gravitates towards the beats that bring to mind a visual idea of the atmosphere, location, characters, and accouterments. Due to her intricacy in the process of making a song she takes pleasure in being a part of everything from beat producing to music video editing. She entertains in English, Moroccan and some French and Spanish which accumulate a multitude of nationalities. Her divergent vocal characters reflect on her appearances in the music videos which switches throughout the songs through outfits, makeup, and hairstyles. She has explained in previous interviews that this is not her trying to be someone else, but rather her showing all the different parts of herself where she prefers to not be put in any category. With time Royane has been connecting more and more with her roots and that shows in her music, visuals and fashion style.
