Ruby Dean is a singer-songwriter based between South England and working her way around the Leeds/Manchester music scene. Initially fuelled by the complicated emotions of heartbreak, her gentle melodies and enchanting lyricism was born, as she turned to songwriting as an escape and an understanding of those feelings. Inspired by artists such as Gracie Abrams, Lizzy McAlpine, Flyte, Bess Atwell and Fleetwood Mac, Ruby continues to write honestly and with styles of the indie folk artists she loves.
Since her first release of the entirely self-produced folk-pop song, ‘Different Story’, Ruby has performed with Sofar Sounds and been working hard at writing and producing more to release new music in the near future.
