Ryan Shaw is a three-time GRAMMY® nominee for his solo projects: This is Ryan Shaw, In Between, and Real Love. He’s shared the stage with Van Halen, Bonnie Raitt, John Legend, B.B. King, and Jill Scott. His music has been featured on So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, Grey’s Anatomy, and in films like My Blueberry Nights, Bride Wars, and Sex and the City.
On stage, Ryan starred as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar at Lyric Opera of Chicago, originated Stevie Wonder in Broadway’s Motown: The Musical, and played the Soul of Michael Jackson in London’s Thriller Live. He’s performed at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, Central Park SummerStage, The Kennedy Center, and with major symphonies across North America.
Ryan’s orchestral show Masters of R&B premiered with Virginia Symphony, and his duo show ICON with Capathia Jenkins is touring. His album Imagining Marvin honors Marvin Gaye with original songs and guests like Valerie Simpson, Rob Thomas, and Derek Trucks.
In 2025, Ryan releases Rising Up, an inspirational new single and album, along with OFF Broadway, a soul-infused reimagining of Broadway classics with Ray Angry.
