Jo Meredith is Sad Penny. Jo grew up in St. Augustine, Florida, where she surfed and played gigs in her bedroom to no one. Inspired by crunchy guitars and sweet americana melodies, Jo describes her sound as Boot Gaze. “Sun Cured”, the first EP under the Sad Penny moniker, was released in the fall of 2017 produced by Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves) and Louis Johnson (her longtime bandmate of The Saint Johns). Her new EP, “Nightside”, produced by husband JT Daly (KFlay) released in March 2020.
