Safa

Safa is a New Jersey raised, Brooklyn-based vocalist, composer, and collaborator whose work channels the soul traditions of Black music into contemporary sonic expressions. Rooted in the lineages of neo-soul, R&B, and jazz, Safa’s sound is devotional and distinctly modern—anchored by clarity of voice and a commitment to emotional storytelling. Originally from the Midwest and trained at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, she began her professional career touring with Esperanza Spalding following a 2021 performance on Spalding’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
From 2022 to 2025, Safa expanded her sound globally through collaborations with Amsterdam-based producer Full Crate (“Fight For You”) and R&B artist BYHAZE on tracks like “Feel Good” and “Make a Move.” Whether on stage in international venues or in studios across New York, Safa’s work reflects a generational voice exploring themes of desire, tenderness, and becoming.
