“Second Woman consists of Turk Dietrich (of <a href="spotify:artist:3c5PAcbkeFrbWUp42FaBkW" data-name="Belong">Belong</a>) and Joshua Eustis (of <a href="spotify:artist:53N4oJpWtmnB0KGLLserGC" data-name="Telefon Tel Aviv">Telefon Tel Aviv</a>), two of the most exploratory and well-regarded electronic music producers active since the &#39;90s emergence of leading IDM artists <a href="spotify:artist:6kBDZFXuLrZgHnvmPu9NsG" data-name="Aphex Twin">Aphex Twin</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6WH1V41LwGDGmlPUhSZLHO" data-name="Autechre">Autechre</a>. Dietrich and Eustis&#39; activity together dates back to the early 2000s. They previously worked together as Benelli, credited with a remix of <a href="spotify:artist:0X380XXQSNBYuleKzav5UO" data-name="Nine Inch Nails">Nine Inch Nails</a>&#39; &quot;The Frail&quot;. In June 2016 Second Woman debuted with a self-titled set on Spectrum Spools. It was previewed with &quot;700358bc5,&quot; a bracingly rhythmic and intricate production. The album was met with critical acclaim, and was followed up by the digital release E/P, featuring remixes by <a href="spotify:artist:23QKqAkKwti9zBiac6RFBA" data-name="Jlin">Jlin</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5Y3oDPCnbx1hf4MWLvK2Tf" data-name="Fluxion">Fluxion</a>, in early 2017. The influences of footwork, dub, and algorithmic music permeated the duo&#39;s second album, S/W, which arrived in April. <a href="spotify:playlist:7BB2Ur20flkbOBv9S9Lxdo" data-name="Tresor Records">Tresor Records</a> released the duo&#39;s EP Instant/Apart in 2018 which more overtly hinted at the duo’s techno roots.”
