Seiji Igusa grew up in a pastor’s family, surrounded by hymns and gospel music. He began playing drums at 11 and guitar at 15. In 2009, he won the Grand Prize and Best Original Arrangement Award at FINGER PICKING DAY, also opening for Tommy Emmanuel’s Japan tour. In 2010, he was a Top 5 finalist at the Walnut Valley Festival in the U.S. Expanding across Asia from 2015, he toured 15 cities in China in 2019. In 2022, he won the Guitarist Grand Prize at the Musical Instrument Store Awards. With 10 albums released, he has over 1M YouTube subscribers and 500K Instagram followers. He was ranked 31st in Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s “100 Best Solo Guitarists” and 4th in the readers’ poll.
