Melbourne based Boogie and Jazz-Funk group, consisting of Françoise D'Argent (vocalist), Lachlan Peavey (guitar/bass) and Benny Badge (keyboards/producer).
Françoise and Benny first collaborated in 2013, forming Silver Linings soon after as a side project for Gulf Point Records. The duo made a worthy splash with a single entitled "Sleepless" featuring Floridian vocalist Ale Chambers. However, it would be their 2016 debut album "So Good To You" that gained them heavy recognition.
Partially recorded while based in Manchester, Benny brought home the titular song and a sound palette affected heavily by the city’s penchant for synthetically fused Jazz and electronic music. Bolstered with sessions by Harvey Sutherland, Silentjay and future-recruit Lachlan, the demos took on a new life, fusing elements of Jazz with Electro, layered with classic vocal arrangements and executed using 80s production protocol.
Upon graduating from Melbourne's prestigious VCA Jazz program, Lachlan officially joined the group. This new lineup proved to be an aggressive catalyst for the trio, recording their sophomore album, "Don't Make Tracks" (2017) and touring Europe, UK, Russia and West Coast US over the following months.
To date Silver Linings' work has receive nomination for Best Soul/Funk/R&B Album at The 2017 Age Music Victoria Awards, reached #4 bestselling album at Juno Records, #6 R&B bestseller on Beatport and have been noted in Vinyl Factory’s Top 10 Vinyl Releases, January 2017.
