Singuila is a French R&B singer who broke into the mainstream in 2003 with the Top Ten hit single "C'est Trop." Born on September 19, 1977, in the Republic of the Congo, he made his album debut in 2003 with On Ne Vit Qu'une Fois in association with EMI. While the album's lead single, "Ma Conscience," was a minor hit, the follow-up singles "C'est Trop" and "Aïcha" proved much more popular, reaching numbers six and 21 respectively on the French singles chart. In the wake of these breakout hits, Singuila was featured on the song "Thank You," a Top 30 hit duet with labelmate Jamelia in 2004. Second album, Ghetto Compositeur (2006), saw the R&B singer switch label association from EMI to Universal Music and recede from the pop mainstream, as none of the album's three singles ("Le Temps Passe Trop Vite," "Le Misérable," "Ma Nature") hit the charts. Singuila's third full-length effort, Ça Fait Mal (2009), spawned a couple singles ("Reviens Je T'en Prie," "J'suis KO"), and reached the Top 30 of the albums chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
