Soundpool, a dream pop ensemble whose reverb-drenched sound draws heavily from seminal artists like My Bloody Valentine and Lush, formed in New York City in 2005 with Kim Field, John Ceparano, Mark Robinson, James Renard, and a rotating cast of bassists who included Ben Malkin, Rich Bennett, Dean McCormick, and Andy Durutti. Soundpool's debut album, On High, was released on Aloft Records the following year. Their sophomore effort, Dichotomies & Dreamland, hit stores in early 2008. After a switch to a new label (Killer Pimp), the group (which now featured Sanford Santacroce on bass) released the dance music and disco inspired Mirrors in Your Eyes in spring of 2010. ~ TiVo Staff, Rovi
