Steven Weston

Anjunadeep rising start Steven Weston came into the scene in 2021, with his debut EP <a href="spotify:album:70r8PddVtwZP7dv8PbnUeR" data-name="Blank Dust">Blank Dust</a>. Since then he has received support from <a href="spotify:artist:3xnDktxhudJR2Wv3HZDQ9W" data-name="John Digweed">John Digweed</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5gTVJRQmuS88nOhhdHqErL" data-name="Jody Wisternoff">Jody Wisternoff</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0bGDTQ78MVgI5Snqo9KJZw" data-name="Qrion">Qrion</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:27gtK7m9vYwCyJ04zz0kIb" data-name="Lane 8">Lane 8</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5Dyfxq0ZrFjjeFBdSNxDbo" data-name="Yotto">Yotto</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4mpJaw5y17CIN08qqe8EfB" data-name="Hernan Cattaneo">Hernan Cattaneo</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:240wlM8vDrf6S4zCyzGj2W" data-name="CamelPhat">CamelPhat</a>, as well as capturing the attention of <a href="spotify:artist:6u4jLGLPuarS3i2XWHVxoS" data-name="Sasha">Sasha</a>, who signed Steven&#39;s track Liquid for his record label, Last Night On Earth. Since then Steven has released multiple EPs on his own label and also 3 EPs on the mighty Anjuandeep featuring artists <a href="spotify:artist:27ze6hCgfr3HcDZAHY60pg" data-name="Låpsley">Låpsley</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:07FfkbljNIdl45Ijlh1aXS" data-name="RHODES">RHODES</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6XhlyQTh6FehRuotasz86D" data-name="Taė">Taė</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:0IEPb9ily3E5IAYMSkwtQ6" data-name="Arctic Lake">Arctic Lake</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:11cVIlWcbl4NaDtqlrVCaM" data-name="bailey">bailey</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2mYmU4GJqsQTQiOXoA7qDD" data-name="Ormella">Ormella</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1bbz0UKJHqHXnZEqZi5uMX" data-name="Oscar Farrell">Oscar Farrell</a>.

Steven was brought up in Portsmouth and learned to play the organ from the age of 11, but an early obsession with electronic music soon saw him trading it in for a set of turntables and a CDJ. At 18, he left for Spain, where he became a resident DJ on the Murcia Coast. He has been on the move ever since, touring the world playing keyboards and on Music Director duties for the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:04vj3iPUiVh5melWr0w3xT" data-name="Christine and the Queens">Christine and the Queens</a>, Loreen, Charli XCX and <a href="spotify:artist:1buzCmyYZE4kcdLRudsb8V" data-name="Mikky Ekko">Mikky Ekko</a> . He was also the first and lead bass player in <a href="spotify:artist:6dYrdRlNZSKaVxYg5IrvCH" data-name="The KLF">The KLF</a> side project Badger Kull.
He cut his teeth as an engineer at Metropolis and Strongroom studios in London, and worked for three years at Major Toms in Hoxton, where he was studio engineer for <a href="spotify:artist:4WN5naL3ofxrVBgFpguzKo" data-name="Rudimental">Rudimental</a>, working on the guys 3rd studio album.

Steven is also a collaborator with James Lavelle in <a href="spotify:artist:2nszamLjZFgu3Yx77mKxuC" data-name="UNKLE">UNKLE</a>. They have worked together since Lavelle’s Meltdown in 2014, working on albums, soundtracks, remixes and the E live show which they perform together.
