Since their formation in 2001, San Francisco Bay Area alternative rock outfit Strata have witnessed numerous waves of personal and international anxiety. The band's latest single, "Around the Bend," explores these themes and looks ahead in anticipation of the next disaster looming just beyond the horizon. Written and recorded in December 2019 — just weeks before a global pandemic and worldwide social unrest upended life as we know it — the song takes on a new sense of prophetic urgency and begs the question: was the first half of 2020 just a warm up?
