The band burst onto the scene in 2002, backing their Warner Bros. debut Letting Go with production by David Kahne and mixer Andy Wallace. "Get Away" surged to #4 at Active Rock, while "Headstrong" landed on the iconic Queen of the Damned soundtrack.
Earshot avoided the sophomore slump in 2004 with TWO, recruiting producer Johnny K. Their breakout single "Wait" cracked the Active Rock Top 10, soundtracking games like Madden 2005 and MX vs. ATV to become a definitive anthem for athletes and fighters alike.
Shortly after parting with Warner in 2005, they signed with In De Goot/Fontana/Universal Records for 2008’s The Silver Lining, securing their fifth charting single with "MisSunderstood." Soon after release, a label dispute forced the band independent. They adapted, testing their staying power with 2015’s The Aftermath EP, where "Let Me" clocked over 1 million streams.
Yet, the independent grind took a heavy toll. Navigating the modern industry alone led to financial distress and depression, forcing vocalist Wil Martin to step away indefinitely. The hiatus left Earshot’s future hanging until 2019, when a reformed lineup reunited for a one-off Las Vegas show. That spark set the stage for a return to the studio, reuniting with Johnny K for latest release HUMANING, marking a definitive new chapter pushing their signature heavy sound into the modern era.
