That Driving Beat is a 12-piece soul band from Stockholm, Sweden, fronted by three female singers, each with their own unique style and flavour, all involved in lead singing and providing strong harmonies.
Known for ecstatic live shows and digging up forgotten Northern Soul gems, the band is now in the process of releasing original self-penned songs, starting May 12, 2023 with the dance therapy explosion of Let’s Break Down, which will be followed up by a more mellow and soulful track called Come Back Home in June. And more to follow later in 2023.
The name of the band, That Driving Beat, has been borrowed from the title of one of the amazing songs of musician, song writer and producer Willie Mitchell (1928–2010).
