Punkabilly revivalists the Amazing Crowns actually began life as the Amazing Royal Crowns, releasing an eponymous debut album under that name in 1997 before a lawsuit by <a href="spotify:artist:1xPJUnlSWLJHXch33w1Ljj">the Royal Crown Revue</a> forced them to shorten it. The band's lineup featured vocalist Jason "King" Kendall, guitarist J.D. Burgess, bassist Jack "the Swinger" Hanlon, and drummer Judd Williams; as the Amazing Crowns, they went on to record albums like Payback Live and Royal, both released in 2000. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
