On the outskirts of Bristol, on the edge of the urban sprawl, is a small recording facility called Waggle Dance Studios. Much like the TARDIS it contains much more than it appears to from it's humble exterior. In amongst the racks of studio equipment and musical instruments, surrounded by walls adorned with pictures live the studio's house band, The Co-Operators. Modelling themselves on the musical practices of yesteryear, they aim to provide a one-stop shop: studio and band all under one tin roof. Inspired by the classic studios of Jamaica and beyond they produce a unique, authentic and largely nostalgic take on reggae and rocksteady that is distinctly their own.

The driving force behind the project is producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eeyun Purkins. As well as becoming a one man rhythm section he has built this project and studio from the ground up with the help of his inner circle, a small selection of singers and players. Including Joe Yorke, Earl Sixteen, Pupajim, Marina P, Kitma, Perkie & Beanie.
