The Jazz Jousters

The Jazz Jousters are a Jazzhop collective that were founded by <a href="spotify:artist:4o9ii8b1L3D2CpVdsyhbtx" data-name="Gadget">Gadget</a> in 2012 via the independent and close nit <a href="spotify:artist:5Z0IPiVInY7yKWbuM0E32Y" data-name="Millennium Jazz Music">Millennium Jazz Music</a> label based in London. The group started to put out free tribute LP&#39;s every two weeks in dedication to a different Jazz legend in each session. This turned into a monthly release in their 2nd and 3rd season. In 2014 the group kicked off their 4th season with a new concept of a 10 part cassette series called &#39;Locations&#39;, (<a href="spotify:user:1116059291:playlist:6WImU2o9QkOLvejFL05Sqh" data-name="Locations by The Jazz Jousters | The Complete Series">Locations by The Jazz Jousters | The Complete Series</a> ) with the group being challenged work with Jazz music from a chosen country on each volume. The Jousters also put out a couple of anniversary CD releases and <a href="spotify:album:3zI8NgsflT8yrPiAnMzTmH" data-name="The Vault: The Best of the Jazz Jousters">The Vault: The Best of the Jazz Jousters</a>&#39; double LP released in partnership with HHV.de. This enabled them to self fund <a href="spotify:album:3qz4ISw9EwfDll1e9Ee2Yd" data-name="Endurance">Endurance</a>, the Jousters first official vinyl LP that the group craved for so long.

At present the Jousters have made 50+ albums in total, and after a well deserved break they returned in 2017 to start their 5th season with a five part Locations mini vinyl and cassette series as requested by the listeners. The first release of this new series is <a href="spotify:album:6lxO0vDqGJ7dTb29C9YFpX" data-name="Locations: USA">Locations: USA</a> as the group were challenged to focus on US Jazz between 1960-1969. They squeezed in their <a href="spotify:album:2kzKgQpDqaX9JJum5Klz6Q" data-name="Fifth Element">Fifth Element</a> double LP to celebrate their 5th anniversary, and will now continue to complete the series ..Locations: Russia is up next.
