The Kiez

The Kiez - A duo based out of two continents, garage rockers
The Kiez (pronounced Keetz) blend fuzzed out atmospheric
rock with reverb-laden soul and four-on-the-floor dance
bangers.
Strangers introduced by mutual friends, Hamburg, Germany based
producer and drummer Lucas Kochbeck and Lincoln,
USA-based ex-Eagle Seagull frontman Eli Mardock hit it off
right from the start. Now The Kiez are about to release their
new single Ghost:
“Ghost came about from memories of a few breakups over the
years“, comment The Kiez. „Most people have this experience
or something like it. You know: you‘re in love with someone
and maybe you‘re with them for a couple of years or longer.
You‘re intimate in every way with this person, sharing your
emotions, and all these really amazing moments. But for whatever
reason, it ends. And then you see them again, sometime
later, and it‘s like seeing a ghost, or something from a past
life. You barely recognize them. Maybe you don‘t even say
hello. It‘s almost like none of it ever happened.“
Ghost previews the forthcoming debut album Hi, We Are
The Kiez from The Kiez, coming this year via Warner Music
Germany and following the debut EP We Play, released early
2018 on Hamburg label Clouds Hill.
