Tipped as one of Discovery Music’s “Ones to Watch” for 2020, The Links are a 4-piece band from Edinburgh. Having only formed at the beginning of 2019, they have already developed a fresh, identifiable sound, describing their music as “post-punk infused indie”.

Their debut single “Last Line” was released in September 2019 and had an immediate impact for the band, rising to 10,000 streams in a few weeks and being picked for Amazing Radio’s daytime playlist by the influential Jim Gellatly, as well as rising to #17 in Amsterdam-based radio station IndieXL’s Free40 chart. The song was also critically well-received; music blogger HeardNotHerd praised the “exuberant guitars, strong vocals and air-punching choruses.”

The success of the single had a big impact for the band; securing them support slots with prominent acts in the Scottish scene such as Shambolics, Neon Waltz and Billy Mitchell, and being asked to play at one of music legend Alan McGee’s Q&A events, before rounding off the year with a blistering performance in their hometown at EH6 Festival.
