An electronic music unit, The Rainstick Orchestra, was the first Japanese artist to release their first album, “The Floating Glass Key in the Sky”, on the most influential alternative dance music label in the UK, “Ninja Tune”, in 2004. The album brought them global recognition, and they were selected as one of the “100 most respected Japanese in the world” by a Japanese edition of “Newsweek” (October 26, 2005).
In 2015, 11 years after the release of their first album, Baku Tsunoda of The Rainstick Orchestra, has released a second album titled “The Shape Of The Cloud” as a solo project after spending 10 years of painstaking work to put it together.
After taking a break from his musical activities, he released two new digital singles in 2017. Since then, he has continued to make and record music behind the scenes. After finally getting enough material together for a full-length album, he will be releasing consecutive tracks from spring 2020 onward.
