A '50s R&B vocal group, the Scarlets were the group led by vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:4HEhD6nHnO9hB6h3uiGZJ9">Fred Parris</a>, before he formed <a href="spotify:artist:2YP02JRa1JLejrg3XTssJS">the Five Satins</a>. Based in New Haven, CT, the group cut four highly prized singles for Bobby Robinson's Red Robin label in 1954-1955, notably "Dear One." ~ Bill Dahl
