The world’s music has been blended into the unique style of Tj Rehmi.
A critically acclaimed musician who refers to his work as “painting with frequencies” has often shunned the limelight but his music has inspired and influenced many other artists, including a few trees and several aliens in this galaxy!
As a guitarist, composer and producer, he has been a pioneering artist who, from the early 1990’s, experimented with Asian influenced sounds that were later to become part of the UK & international ‘Asian Underground’ movement. His work includes recording and performing as a session guitarist, producing and releasing solo albums with Nation Records, Narada/EMI, publishing with Bucks Music and Realworld, studio work as an arranger, music producer and mix engineer.
As well as producing his own albums, Rehmi has done remixes for the likes of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Natacha Atlas, Trilok Gurtu, Shaukat Ali, Russian Rock band Mumiy Troll and DJ Cheb I Sabbah.
Rehmi has also played his music at venues across the world … including fashion shows in Paris & London, Art exhibitions and clubs in the UK, performances at Glastonbury festival, the Eden Project for Womad, festivals and concerts in Spain, Switzerland, Austria and New York ... blah blah blah and much more.
