A dynamic, very aggressive, and animated yet disciplined drummer, Tony Reedus initially gained attention as a member of <a href="spotify:artist:0yvEf1tqWWPiZu4ZbjyKGs">Woody Shaw</a>'s early-'80s band. He subsequently did other session work with such players as <a href="spotify:artist:0p4yhCSX3vJ6iWlkWKO0Y8">James Williams</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6Zq5ky484xYTgxE6dQ8yHh">Mulgrew Miller</a>, and also led sessions for <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Jazz+City%22">Jazz City</a> and <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Enja%22">Enja</a> in the '80s and '90s.
