Trapdoor are a 5 piece rock band from the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Formed in 2015 by a group of friends who went out on a whim to play some jams and ramblings live, Trapdoor quickly became local favorites around the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern New South Wales region.
Their sound is cooked up in their kitchen nightmare; a droning swamp shanty with a hard hitting drum beat and strong lyrics, straight out of the pages of your high school history book. ‘Chunkier than a porridge vomit; a proper, stadium-filling noise enough to corrode heavy metal’ (Happy Mag).
Trapdoor have released 2 EP’s to date - Bison in 2016 & Planetary Holiday Show in 2018 with various single releases such as Holy Truth, Valhöll, Found Home and the most recent, Afghan Flowers. Trapdoor are currently working on their first full length album to be recorded early 2023.
