Tyler Jakes is a garage rock/alternative blues influenced singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and award-winning music producer (Best Score - 2019 New York City Indie Film Awards). He has released over a dozen full-length albums, numerous compilations, and a limited edition X-ray flexi disc. His music has appeared on TV shows such as Deadliest Catch, Sons of Anarchy, and Survivor, as well as films including Flying Light and Under The N. Jakes has toured the U.S. extensively and shared the stage with acts as diverse as The Legendary Shack Shakers, Charlie Parr, Reverend Peyton, Jello Biafra, The Yawpers, Native Howl, and Lincoln Durham.
Vernon Reid (of the Grammy-award winning, Living Colour) described Jakes’ songwriting as being “gritty and witty”, while Pulse of the Twin Cities drew comparisons as broad as Bob Dylan and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club saying that, "Jakes is intent on laying down some truly dirty rock and roll".
