Vanbur released their debut EP 'Human' in 2020 soon followed by esteemed classical label Deutsche Grammophon releasing single 'Falling Colour' (2020) and their reimagined take on 'Carol of the Bells' (2021). A year later, 'Human' was reborn through a remix EP including versions by Mogwai, Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres and Mafro. Their music has found a natural home on Spotify playlists like Not Quite Classical, Classical X and The Most Beautiful Songs in the World, while also surfacing on screen in productions including One Day, Amazon’s Hanna, Virgin River and The Rising. In 2022, they contributed to the Grammy-winning 'For The Birds' compilation, sitting alongside icons like Yoko Ono, Nick Cave and Laurie Anderson. Beyond Vanbur, Jessica Jones and Tim Morrish are established film & TV composers in their own right. Their combined credits stretch across Amazon, BBC, Netflix and Sky; from One Day, Fifteen Love and Red Rose to Brassic and The Tinder Swindler. Their work has been recognised with a BAFTA win, an Emmy nomination and screenings at Cannes, BFI London and BAFTA.
‘Of Becoming’ is set for release on 21st November 2025 via Manners McDade on vinyl and digital formats. The album was mixed by Adam Miller at AIR Studios, mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis, with graphic design by Torsten Posselt and photography and films by Matt Houghton.
