A midwestern garage rock collective hailing from South Bend, IN. After they recently opened for the All-American Rejects and Bishop Briggs, it may be easy to forget whisk’s humble beginnings in the dusty chapel of a University of Notre Dame residence hall. Starting as a cover band specializing in alternative rock from the early 2000s, the group quickly pivoted to writing their own music, influenced by the sound of artists such as The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and The Backseat Lovers. Defined by bright, soaring melodies, but retaining an air of edge and grittiness, whisk’s music is fun yet reflective, catchy yet avant-garde. Let them play. Let them cook.
