Laidback, sparse and escalating, the collaboration of <a href="spotify:artist:6C3Q1d8QOpgYuRdsTmSoVm" data-name="Andras">Andras</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4TH7Ht4s96MI3baz9t9kE7" data-name="Eleventeen Eston">Eleventeen Eston</a> takes ambient music outside and leaves it to the elements. Known for navigating individual courses as solo musicians, <a href="spotify:artist:1SSQKcEQdGmpu9MQRXcJ9i" data-name="Wilson Tanner">Wilson Tanner</a>’s collective storytelling is saturated in detail, buoying between tension and harmony.
Their first album ’<a href="spotify:album:4JxPZ8OU4lt8uwHhFN4hK1" data-name="69">69</a>' (2016) was recorded in a backyard in Perth. Throwing electroacoustic conventions overboard, their second album ‘<a href="spotify:album:6TWWXuC6WOvznLVPvDqTFI" data-name="II">II</a>' (2019) was recorded at a mooring on Port Phillip bay. 'Legends', their 3rd, is a wine-soaked agricultural fantasy, made among the grapevines at Manon Farm in South Australia and is released on <a href="spotify:playlist:3fUnOsJYPbEFlTXT4SmE1y" data-name="Efficient Space Records">Efficient Space Records</a>.
Through an agricultural haze an image of a working vineyard emerges - ducks, dogs and plovers intrude; tractors and quads fly-by; stainless steel gleams at the edges. Recording mostly without mains power, Wilson Tanner press their surroundings into something raw and unfiltered, letting bum notes, leftovers and sediment linger in the bottle.
