Heavily influenced by rock music, he takes his work to another level by blending hard rock and orchestral sounds to create profound and elegant soundscapes. He is the organizer of the music production team “Team-MAX” and also the leader of “YAIBA”, a rock and roll group featuring Japanese musical instruments.
In June 2025, he performed at the “Rock Imperium Festival 2025,” becoming the first Japanese composer of anime musical accompaniment to perform at a major overseas rock festival, and was enthusiastically received by local hard rock and heavy metal fans. He also received enthusiastic support from local hard rock and heavy metal fans.
His representative works are "NARUTO Shippuden", "FAIRY TAIL", "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal・Eternal・Cosmos", "BORUTO-NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS", "Zombieland Saga" "Kengan Ashura" "Record of Ragnarok"and more. Received JASRAC International Award in 2013,2014,2017,2020-2024.

音楽制作集団『Team-MAX』主宰、和楽器をフィーチャーしたロックユニット『刃-yaiba-』のリーダーでもある。
2024年に新バンド「Far East Groove」を結成。2025年6月には『Rock Imperium Festival 2025』に出演し、日本人のアニメ劇伴作曲家としては史上初の海外大型ロックフェス出演という快挙を達成し、現地のハードロック・ヘヴィメタルファンからも熱い支持を受けた。
2013年、2014年、2017年、2020年、2021年、2022年、2023年、2024年に通算8回『JASRAC国際賞』を受賞。
代表作に、『NARUTO－ナルト－疾風伝』『BORUTO-ボルト-NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS』『FAIRY TAIL』『ゾンビランドサガ』『ゲゲゲの鬼太郎第6期』『美少女戦士セーラームーンCrystal・Eternal・Cosmos』『フレッシュプリキュア!』～『スマイルプリキュア!』『ケンガンアシュラ』『終末のワルキューレ』『地獄少女』『ログ・ホライズン』『地球へ…』『PRIDE』テーマ曲等がある。
