Alta Consigna is a popular regional banda quintet formed in Tijuana in 2014 by childhood friends. Their popularity is due in large part to a "do-it-yourself" determination, as well as an appealing stage presence. They have managed to become well known throughout Mexico and in United States via their adept use of social media platforms and networks. They started out not by recording, but by making their own videos, with no resources other than their instruments, mobile phones, and sometimes, computers. The group included Aaron Gil (vocals and guitar), Dani Vidal (tuba), and Alan Nieblas (guitar). Their earliest efforts were released as audio-only tracks on social networks, and were included on audio and video compilations followed by live videos, before becoming more sophisticated narrative affairs commensurate with their growing popularity. They maintained a steady stream of videos and other releases. During the first half of 2016 they released two new albums, Así Nací and Culpable Tú. The following year brought a torrent of new recordings as they launched another new homemade project in the Desde la Oficina series.
