Electronica meets New Wave duo Aswefall was formed around French musician Clément Vaché and Sweden's Leo Hellden (Véo Véo, Jay Jay Johansson). Their project was clearly 80s-revival-minded, so it was no surprise to find Daniela D'Ambrosio (Nouvelle Vague) or Departure Lounge's Tim Keegan among the guest list of their 2005 release, Bleed. It's only fair to underline the fact that Bleed was released before any major symptom of the late 80s craze to come later in that decade (at least in France, and in this particular form). The project, not reaching massive success by itself, was far more exposed when one of its titles (Between us) was used in a TV commercial for a major French company. On the radio front, Radio Nova helped promote the album by regularly playing one of its titles (Game we play). ~ Olivier Duboc, Rovi
