Babak Safarnejad, born on June 5, 1985, in Tehran, Iran, is a renowned harmonica player with a versatile musical background. Starting his musical journey at age 11, he initially trained in Qanun before mastering several instruments, including Tonbak, Violin, Piano, and Classical Guitar, under esteemed maestros. At 19, Babak turned to the harmonica, drawing inspiration from legendary players worldwide.
He produced *Old Friend*, Iran's first harmonica album, showcasing styles like jazz, blues, rock, and gypsy jazz. Babak has collaborated with prominent Iranian musicians and established the Aheel band. He's also performed in films and TV series, and as a dedicated teacher, has trained over 1,000 students since 2005.
