South Korean boy band BAE173 debuted in 2020 with the EP Intersection: Spark; an infectious mix of K-Pop, R&B, and hip-hop. The group issued two follow-ups: 2021's Intersection: Trace and 2022's Intersection: Blaze.
Formed under the direction of PocketDol Studio, BAE173 first started life in late 2020, with members J-Min, Hangyul, Yoojun, Muzin, Junseo, Youngseo, Doha, Bit, and Dohyon being introduced over the course of a few weeks. Prior to the band forming, Hangyul and Dohyon had been members of the short-lived X1 before starting their own sub-unit, H&D. With the group fully revealed, they issued their debut EP, Intersection: Spark. Peaking at number 12 on the Korean pop charts, the EP also included the popular track "Crush on You." Their sophomore EP, Intersection: Trace, dropped in early 2021 with the lead track "Loved You" once again earning the group huge streaming figures. Continuing to build their profile with fans, BAE173 issued their third EP, Intersection: Blaze, in 2022. It peaked at number 14 on the Korean charts, with its lead track "Jaws," and became a massive release for the outfit. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
