South Korea's WEi is a six-member K-pop boy band known for their sparkling, dance-infused sound. They have scored a string of Top Ten EPs in South Korea, including 2020's Identity: First Sight, 2022's Love Pt. 1: First Love, and 2025's The Feelings and Wonderland.
Formed in 2020 by <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Oui+Entertainment%22">Oui Entertainment</a>, WEi (a portmanteau of "We" and "I") features members Jang Dae-hyeon, Kim Dong-han, Yoo Yong-ha, Kim Yo-han, Kang Seok-hwa, and Kim Jun-seo. Prior to coming together, the members individually competed on survival shows like Produce 101, YG Treasure Box, and Under Nineteen, respectively. They debuted in October 2020 with the EP Identity: First Sight, featuring the single "Twilight," followed in 2021 by Identity: Challenge and Identity: Action, all of which cracked the Top Five of the South Korean Circle Albums Chart.
In March 2022, they began their next EP cycle with Love Pt. 1: First Love and the single "Too Bad," once again reaching the Top Five of the Circle chart. On the heels of the release, they embarked on their WEi World Tour: First Love tour. That same year, they released their debut Japanese EP, Youth. They also followed with 2022's Love Pt. 2: Passion and 2023's Love Pt. 3: Eternally, leading into their WEi 2nd World Tour: Passion. A second Japanese EP, Wave, arrived in February 2024.
In January 2025, WEi returned with The Feelings EP, featuring the single "Not Enough." It immediately became the group's highest-charting entry on the Circle Albums Chart at number two. By that May, Kim Jun-seo had temporarily left the group, eventually turning up as a contestant on the Mnet survival program Boys Planet II. Working as a five-piece, WEi delivered their eighth EP, Wonderland, featuring the single "Home." ~ Matt Collar
