Banna Harbera creates distinctly soulful music that’s good for the soul.
Formed just for kicks at music school, the group — which includes Yzabel Torres, Jake Masigan, Justin Mendoza, Katrice Reyes, and Patrick Felipe — fuses classic and modern takes on soul music with elements from their hip hop, jazz, contemporary, pop, Japanese, and rock influences.
After the release of their thesis-turned-first-EP to the public, Banna Harbera has quickly grown to become a staple in Manila’s indie music scene. In fact, for a time, their faces were on the cover of Spotify’s ‘Pinoy Indie Mix’ playlist — this, alongside TV, radio, and digital appearances, having been named ‘Myx Artist of the Month’, topping charts across different stations, and rocking it out on acclaimed shows such as Wanderland Music Festival, Fête de la Musique, and Karpos Live.
The band currently has a full-length album (“Kept In Mind”) 2 music videos and 3 EPs under its belt, with “I Still Dig You EP” as their freshest drop.
