From the vibrant heart of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, emerges Project Orange, a dynamic four-piece Indie/Dream Pop band renowned for their ethereal melodies and introspective lyrics. The ensemble features Diana Mapa (guitars/vocals), Martin Garces (bass), Justin Padilla (drums), and Nathan Celis (lead guitar), creating a sonic tapestry that blends the shimmering textures of indie rock with the lush, atmospheric layers of dream pop.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Boy Pablo, Two Door Cinema Club, and The 1975, their sound is both nostalgic and forward-thinking, offering listeners catchy hooks and dreamy soundscapes that invite introspection and escapism. They first broke through with their demo single “Ctrl + Esc” in 2018, which led to a signing with Manila-based label Lilystars Records and a polished 2019 re-release with an official music video. They followed with standout singles including “Sputnik Sweetheart”, “Play, Pretend” and “Almost”, each showcasing their evolution in arrangement, lyricism, and sonic identity. In 2024, they released their latest single “Don’t You Know” under Symphonic Asia, highlighting the band’s growing maturity with a richer, elemental sound while staying rooted in the emotional clarity their listeners love.
As they continue to explore new musical horizons, Project Orange remains dedicated to crafting songs that speak to the soul, songs that feel like scenes from your life — inviting listeners on a journey through sound and emotion.
