After the release of my first EP in April 2019, Arnhem-based Soul-Pop Singer-Songwriter Bastian Steven decided to take a different approach to releasing new music: "From October 2019, I released a new single every month for a year." An EP and 12 singles together forming a bundle of 18 songs under the overarching title: 'Disconnected.'
A release tour in the US (Chicago, South Bend Jazz Festival, St Joseph Michigan) and several singles by Bastian Steven have been featured in 'New Music Friday NL' and 'Soul 'N' the City' playlists on Spotify.
On April 1, 2022, Bastian released the new single "Biggest Friend." 'Biggest Friend' is the first single from the upcoming album. For this album, Bastian collaborated with producer Jasper Zuidervaart (Chef Special, Jeangu Macrooy, Kris Berry). In this song, Bastian pays tribute to his late friend Jos Huigsloot, who passed away exactly 10 years ago on this date. On July 29, 2023, Bastian released his second single 'Nothing.' A soulful pop song about love and overcoming difficult moments in life together.
The new album is finally there! Jan 2024: ‘Say Cheers To The People You Love’: A danceable Soul-POP song. The inspiration for "Say Cheers" comes from Bastian reading children's stories and watching movies with his son Morris (5 years old).
