Ruben Hein (1982) is a pianist, singer and songwriter widely praised for his warm, soulful voice, distinctive piano style and genre-crossing songs. His breakthrough came with the debut album Loose Fit (2010) and single Elephants, leading to tours across Europe and collaborations with artists such as Jonathan Jeremiah, Oleta Adams, Benjamin Herman, Pete Philly & Perquisite and the Metropole Orkest. He also opened for Simply Red and Tom Jones at the Ziggo Dome and was featured as a solo artist at Symphonica in Rosso.

Known for moving effortlessly between pop, jazz and soul, Hein has built a career of constant reinvention. Albums like Groundwork Rising (2018), the nature-inspired OCEANS (2022), and P.S. (2024, with the Matangi Quartet) reflect both his versatility and his search for authenticity. Beyond his music, he co-founded AANPOTEN, a foundation dedicated to restoring biodiversity in the Netherlands.

In 2025, Hein opens a new chapter with fresh music that reconnects with the soulful roots of his early career. His upcoming single Weatherman marks the start of this journey. Created in collaboration with producers Remme and Stephan Cuny, these songs combine his love for jazz and soul influences with a contemporary pop sound. The result is music that feels original, light and relevant—an evolution shaped by his years of experience yet deeply connected to the essence of who he is as an artist.
