William Howard Ashton, known professionally as "Billy J. Kramer", is an English pop singer and legendary British Invasion star. During the 1960s, he was managed by Brian Epstein and scored hits with several Lennon–McCartney compositions never recorded by the Beatles. Among these hits was the UK number one *"Bad to Me"* in 1963. Kramer and his backing group, "The Dakotas", achieved U.S. success as part of the British Invasion. Their chart-topping single "Little Children" further solidified their popularity in 1964. Since then, Kramer has continued to record and perform. All of these hits were produced by George Martin and recoded at Abbey Road Studios. His autobiography, "Do You Want to Know a Secret", was published in 2016.
